The release of the BlinkMe wireless microphone has been some time now, and many users have already received this touchscreen customizable microphone. Many others have experienced it at various major exhibitions. So, what's the story behind this brand new microphone that differs from traditional ones and boasts significant improvements in multiple functions? Today, we interviewed Mr. Wang, the product manager of BlinkMe, to hear about the development journey of the BlinkMe wireless microphone. 

Be bold instead of concealing

The design of microphones often compromises aesthetics due to the display of functions, craftsmanship, and brand logos. We have been contemplating the solution for the integration of these four elements. Can we ensure functionality while maintaining aesthetic appeal and making users more willing to showcase the microphone itself? We noticed that users tend to avoid displaying the brand logo while using traditional microphones. They either flip the microphone, reveal only the magnetic plate, or cover it with stickers. 

So, we thought, What if we make users no longer concernedabout the exposure of the microphone? This led to the birth of BlinkMe. One of the reasons it received high praise is its strong personalization, breaking free from the constraints of traditional microphones. BlinkMe allows users to decide how to showcase their microphone, hence the name: "Be brave, be yourself!" 

Balance and excel

During the development of BlinkMe, we faced numerous challenges. For example, how can we keep the device compact while incorporating a large number of new components? From a user's perspective, which additional features are more practical? Would the high refresh rate and brightness of the screen interfere with the user experience? How do we balance the refined aesthetics of the physical product with its overall effect on camera? Countless questions emerged, and sometimes they seemed like contradictory demands, as if we needed to make something "dark yet colorful." It appeared to be an arduous task. We worked together with the research and development team, tackling bugs and solving issues step by step. After numerous iterations, we finally completed this unique touchscreen microphone - BlinkMe. 

It's not about what I want, but what you want

In the microphone industry, BlinkMe stands out as a product with significant differentiation. In the design process, we considered the ease of use and user habits in the digital product category. Therefore, we opted for a touchscreen interface. Through this screen and interaction system, we aimed to showcase the microphone's professional functions and make it user-friendly. The option to set custom wallpapers also considers the personalized needs of today's young people, transforming the microphone into a fashionable accessory rather than something to be concealed. 

After the interview, the only thing that remained in the editor's mind while organizing the content was the word "user." As Manager Wang said, "If we don't stand in the shoes of the user, understand their workflow and scenario requirements, then all our designs are just useless castles in the air." The initial idea behind BlinkMe, shared by the entire large team of researchers, testers, marketers, and more at Maple Flute, was solely "to serve users better." 

This touchscreen wireless microphone, BlinkMe, which encompasses countless efforts, will undoubtedly provide content creators, video makers, and live streamers with a better experience!
