Capture the Sound as It Is

A ⌀6 mm condenser mic records in 48 kHz 24-bit, delivering studio-quality sound across the full 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency range. An industry-leading 90 dB signal-to-noise ratio keeps your sound stays clean with virtually no self-noise. And with 120 dB SPL handling, it captures loud moments with ease.

See It, Hear It, Take Full Control

Saramonic Air makes it easy to monitor your recording in real time. The 1.05" color display shows key settings at a glance. You can adjust gain, noise cancellation levels, or output modes with simple button presses. And a 3.5 mm headphone jack enables instant sound feedback. Take full control of your sound.

Striking Retro

Saramonic Air brings a bold retro styling. Just 11 g, the mic clips on light and clean with geometric lines in galactic gray. Tactile buttons add a playful 90s vibe. The metal charging case stands out too — with a see-through top window that keeps everything in view. Slim and pocketable. Flip it open. Lights on. Ideas on.

Keep Loud Clear

Sudden peaks? Handled. Saramonic Air features a smart limiter that smooths out sudden volume spikes before they distort. And with a -6 dB safety track, you get extra room to fine-tune in post. From quiet streets to roaring trains, your sound always stays true.

Shape Your Sound, Your Way

Two noise cancellation levels let you handle different environments with ease. Light mode reduces steady noise like wind or keyboard clicks; strong mode lower louder background sounds to focus on your voice. And you can customize your tone via EQ settings for deeper bass, crisper highs, or auto vocal enhance. Made to fit your style.

Create Without Setup Limits

Saramonic Air features a USB-C adapter and 3.5 mm port, with optional Lightning and hot shoe adapter support, so you can easily connect to phones, computers, and cameras. Q1
What are the advantages of an external lavalier mic? Which scenarios is it best suited for?

The Air lav mic features a ⌀9.7 mm capsule with a ⌀6 mm large diaphragm that is 1.5x larger than typical wireless mics, delivering faster transient response, wider dynamic range, and greater sound detail. It's ideal for recording instruments, ambient sounds, and other audio with varying intensities. Its compact size allows for easy concealment under clothing, making it perfect for professional setups like interviews, short films, and music production.

Q2
Does the Saramonic Air lav mic use a 3.5 mm connector?

No, it uses a custom ultra-compact TS9 connector instead of a standard 3.5mm jack. This design keeps the transmitter small and lightweight while ensuring flexible and discreet use.

Q3
Does Saramonic Air require manual pairing?
No, devices are pre-paired and ready to use immediately. They will connect automatically once powered on.
Q4
What should I do if the devices fail to connect?

Both the transmitter and receiver need to enter pairing mode:
Press and hold the transmitter power button for 5 seconds while it's off. The blue LED will start flashing rapidly.
- On the receiver, go to the menu and enable pairing.
- Once the transmitter LED turns solid blue, pairing is complete.

Q5
What new features are available via the app?

The app adds functions such as EQ adjustment, Receiver auto power on/off with the camera, and firmware updates.

Q6
How do I enable the noise cancellation?

Noise cancellation can be activated via the receiver or the app.
Strong mode is suitable for noisy outdoor environments. Light mode is ideal for indoor use.

Q7
What are the output modes of the Saramonic Air?

Saramonic Air supports three output modes: Mono, Stereo, and Safety Track.
M (Mono): Audio from two transmitters is combined into a single output track.
S (Stereo): Audio from two transmitters is recorded to separate output channels.
Ms (Safety Track): A secondary audio track is recorded at -6 dB as a backup to prevent distortion from unexpected loud sounds.
* Post-production separation is required to use the safety track.

Q8
Can the transmitter’s indicator light be turned off?

Yes, you can turn it off from the receiver’s menu. Connection status can still be monitored on the receiver’s screen.

Q9
What is the function of the limiter?

The limiter reduces portions of the audio signal that exceed a set threshold to prevent distortion caused by signal overload.

Q10
What devices are compatible with Saramonic Air?

Compatible with cameras, smartphones (USB-C, Lightning), computers, and some action cameras (DJI Action 4, DJI Osmo Pocket 3).

Q11
Does the receiver support audio recording via Sony camera hot shoe?

Yes, with the Saramonic hot shoe adapter, the receiver supports digital audio transmission for select Sony camera models. Please refer to the compatibility list for details.

Q12
Can I use the receiver while charging?

Yes. During recording, the receiver and smartphone can be charged simultaneously for uninterrupted use.

Q13
What is Saramonic Air’s maximum transmission range?

Up to 300 meters in open environments.

Q14
How many times can the charging case recharge the transmitters and receiver?

When fully charged, the case can recharge the transmitters and receiver approximately 1.5 times each.

Q15
Can the Lightning adapter be purchased separately?

Yes, the Lightning adapter is available as a separate accessory. Once purchased, you can remove the silicone plug in the case and store the adapter in the slot.

Q16
Is the lavalier mic an optional accessory?

Yes.

Q17
Why is there background noise when connecting to a camera?

The camera’s origimal gain setting can amplify the microphone’s self-noise, so we recommend lowering the camera’s gain before use.
